Hey so I looked up these manuals on eBay and was hoping you could offer some advice on which set I should get. I found the 2000 set you've got, which I would've thought would cover the GMT800s more than the 400s. Also found the 1998 set I have a digital dopy of. And finally found a 1998 Second Edition set.

I presume the 98 second edition would be the best? Never gonna own a gmt800 lol

This seller shows some of the table of contents and I see our engines listed. I also noticed that it does not mention Silverado and the SUV's on the cover.

There's two different service manual sets for 99-00 the c/k set (gmt400) and the Silverado/sierra set (gmt800) haven't seen any c/k sets for 2001-02 but they are definitely life savers.

Sooo just found someone to make me a couple of cells to mount in the bed. They won't interfere with the camper and I'll double my fuel capacity. Been wanting to do this for a very long time.

Lucky, I've been trying to find someone who would build me a bigger tank for my K2500

What kind of tank do you want. We make them every now and then. Aluminum, and, or stainless. My co worker was trying to repair an old stainless tank today. It was a POS. The customer agreed to have us just make a new tank. Any good welding shop that does aluminum work, can build you whatever you want. You can also order one on-line.

I might have to take you up on that; got a link to your shop? I'm looking for a larger-than-stock replacement gas tank for my truck. I haven't really taken any measurements but I was just mulling it around,

We are a small shop. About 12 employees. We don't have a web sight. So let me ask you this. How big of a tank do you want? My 93 WT, had a 32 or 34 gallon tank. Surburbans have big tanks. So, you don't want to just swap on of those in? That would be your least expensive way to put a larger tank in your truck. Building the tank, is not the real issue. It's getting it shipped to you. You can also Google custom gas tanks, and a bunch of them pop up.

Why not an aux tank?

Seems to me fabbing up a bigger tank would be a bit more than just adding an aux tank? The Tahoe tank fits in place of the spare tire on the short beds. The one that had it in the back, was that one the 2 door? Same as a Blazer?

Also, FYI, we are a machine shop. Most of not all machine shops, have welders, and they can build just about anything.
