So I got the truck completely back together, didn't miss any connectors or grounds that I have been able to find so far.

Truck cranked, but would not start. Occasionally I would hear a pop sound coming from the intake. So I assumed I had the dizzy 180 out. I pulled the upper intake again and pulled the dizzy, got it in the correct position. Now it will crank, and start for about 30 Seconds.

When it shuts off, I get a P1345 Cam/Crank Offset. So I think I am still off a tooth, no matter how I turn the dizzy with either passenger side plug wires touching the intake, or drivers side, or anywhere in between it still won't stay running.

Other than that, everything seems to be ok. So I am going to work on that and hopefully be able to drive it tomorrow.

I got it running today. Still getting a P1345 code every now and then, there is a miss, and its running a little rough.

I could not get it to start though it seemed to be having a fuel problem. Not enough pressure, and air in the fuel rail. Somehow there was no gas in the tank. I guess someone could have siphoned it out, there wasn't much in there to begin with. Threw about 5 gallons in and she fired right up.

After driving I got a CEL. Codes:
P1345 - Crank/Cam Offset
P0140 - EGR
P0137 - O2 Sensor
P0154 - O2 Sensor

I believe the O2 sensors are due to an exhaust leak, not sure if that would cause the EGR code or not. As for the Crank/Cam offset, I am lost. I have no idea why I can't get it right. I have pulled it out 3 or 4 times now and followed directions to a T. Still having issues. The code comes on when I start the truck, if I clear it it doesn't come back until I start the truck again.

I'm thinking you are maybe still off a tooth on the distributor. At least on my 7.4, I can't reproduce the P1345 CEL with any amount of adjustment at the dist. The only time I've seen that code is when I've been off a tooth.

Have you check your CMP retard yet?

Following along to see how this turns out. Side note, I checked out the LT guy on Youtube. He lost me on turning a K2500 Burban into an Avalanche. SMFH
He actually just abandoned the project entirely lol. Put a video up a few weeks ago about it being for sale. Lot of good work and info. Lemme see if I can... here's the video, not sure if it's still available though

Edit: realized you just joined the forum this week, welcome to the community :banana-mario:

Thanks! Looks like a good community! I just purchased a 95 K2500 Suburban. The last one I had was a decade ago and a '94. I always regretted selling her. Looking forward to gaining some knowledge. I'll have to check out the other vids on the LT Suburban. The Avalanche idea was just hard to swallow LOL

Yeah, I commented on the first video where he announced he was thinking about making that "Suburvanche" or whatever he called on YT comments, that the wheelbase of the suburbans is just too short for making them look like a truck. The rear axle is pushed forward too much. If look at some of suburban "dually" conversions on the internet where all they do is slap some fender flares, they look horrendous in my opinion.

It's unfortunate he's selling, as I was looking forward for the SAS he had mentioned. That would have been a much cooler swap. I used to tune into all his videos when he started with that ugly truck project, but losing interest in the channel lately. I'm just not into the super-duper modified, lowered trucks.

Anyway, welcome aboard! Lot's great folks here. I think you are going to like your Suburban! What part of Texas are you from?
