It gives me a chuckle when practically every human being has nearly unlimited search potential at their fingertips yet so few are willing to spend a moment searching something, yet will spend more time typing a post to critique the lack of info provided.

It's about correcting bad behavior so it doesn't repeat. If you can get someone to stop being lazy and explain what they're posting about, then we don't have to have people asking what it is, and the people getting upset that others are asking.

You say OP was lazy; I say first 2 responders are lazy. While I understand the first perspective, my view is more productive. You can depend on others for information, or you can seek it yourself.

Let me put it another way: I see posts for items for sale, and they list a location. Someone inevitably asks, "Is that close to (wherever)" where another one quickly searches the location, and makes the deal. First person loses out..

We're all guilty of it, just some more than others.

And I never said I was upset. I literally do get a chuckle out of it. If you look at the tone of the first 2 responders, they're the ones that seem upset.

Seriously - y'all mad at the guy for providing info, in too brief a manner for your liking. If you were in the market for a Core Shifter, you'd be thanking him. You're not, so why get mad? :D

I've had a Core shifter for a few years now. Pretty smooth install on my junk and works pretty well (later NV3500). I think it only offered 5% reduction in throw on my transmission and that might just be the shorter stick on it. Looks cool and feels cool while driving anyway!

LOL.. while he didn't offer much info, it IS indeed the very first search result if you google "core shifter" - https://core-shifters.com/

It's a short throw offered for numerous models including the NV3500/variants, and NV4500's.. as well as other transmissions.

Uhmmm...(chuckle) Dec 16, 2012.
But the O/P is right.
Core only does a couple of runs of these a year & they go fast.
Out-of-stock more often than not.
IIRC, I waited 6 months for mine.

The point is not that he provided too-little information.

The point is that he started a whole new thread, so he could provide too-little information to people who had no freakin' idea what the hell he was talking about.

He'd already put three posts in another thread HE STARTED less than a month ago, about short-throw/CORE shifters. If he'd posted exactly the same thing that started this thread...in THAT thread, what he said would have made perfect sense and been understandable by everyone. Everyone subscribed to that thread would have gotten an update. And the back-story is already in that other thread.

No, can't do that. He's gotta start ANOTHER new thread. Starting a new thread with incomplete information when he could have closed-out his previous thread is just lazy and disrespectful.

Things get buried in old threads, I believe he was trying to alert everyone who might be interested in the product so we could buy now while in stock before anyone else gets them. Mission accomplished.
Thank you Sir. That is exactly what I was trying to do.
