Newbie here. Hope this is okay. I recently acquired a 90 GMC K1500 single cab with 52K miles from a relative. It’s a 4.3 V6 with 5spd Manual running 33” tires.
I’m wanting to put in a Blueprint Crate Motor with Holley Sniper.
Will my water temperature, voltage, oil pressure gauges still work after the swap?

Yep, and your speedometer will too. It may not be accurate with the 33s unless the PO modified the VSSB jumpers behind the cluster for them.

Thanks. I actually put the 33s on myself. Replaced the original tires believe it or not.

So your installing a blueprint 4.3 ? Your has gps. Blast down the highway turn on the gps feature hold your speed study for minute read the steady state speed on phone. Gps indicates 65 , truck speedo indicates 60 you know now that speedo is 10% under your actual ground speed. What is the factory installed tire size on door, or door jam ? RPO code for your year is also tire size option. Good luck.

I’m looking at both the new block 383 and new block 350. Both drop in and Holley Sniper FI.

Your drop in includes mounting change. Exhaust manifolds, headers down pipe. Engine front mount accessory belt drives.

Be very careful.

MAKE SURE you have--and read--a copy of their warranty policy.
Who is allowed to install the engine? You? Any "professional" shop with a tax number? A professional shop with a tax number AND ASE certification? Only certain, Blueprint-approved shops, the nearest of which is two hundred miles from you?
If their engine gives you problems, who pays to diagnose the issue? What is the shop rate paid?
If the engine is found to be faulty, who pays shipping to get it back to them? Who pays to remove and replace the faulty engine? What is the rate per hour, versus local shop rates in your area?
If the engine has to come out and get replaced, who pays for oil, antifreeze, hoses, etc?
Are they going to warranty the engine when you put an aftermarket fuel injecton/ignition system on the thing? In other words, will they blame "poor tuning" on the problems they built-into the engine?
