Hey fellas. I picked up a 93 TD that apparently had an engine swap.
The diesel in it has the PMD injector pump. DS4 I believe.
I have never heard this thing run so for all I know it’s been placed there in a non running condition. My plan is to try and make this thing run and have a unique truck.
It’ll eventually get the nv4500 behind it and maybe the married 205. Not sure. Might slap a 241 in there for the time being.
Anyone have any ideas as to what all happened here?
I’d like to delete the EGR but I doubt that can be done without a tune.

Is the 94+ engine in a 93 common?
I’ll pull the intake and look for some casting numbers eventually.

Also posted this truck on DP looking for some info.

Yes, a running 6.5L is pretty unique :D:banana-mario::crazy::dancingpoop::dancingpoop::dancingpoop: Sorry couldn't resist!

I think the most common swap for a blown 6.5L is a 350.

205? Are you going to do a solid axle swap, or were you planning on keeping the IFS? A Chevy NP205 drops to the passenger side, I believe.

I wonder how well that paint will clean up. I like that color combination.

I hope you get/got it CHEAP. With it not running they could really be yanking your chain.

It’s possible. Honestly I’ll pop in some batteries. Crank it. See what it sounds like.
Dude put a new PMD with the relocation bracket on it , they had a fresh transfer case and a new ignition. I doubt they’d toss some money at something they thought was bad.
It was a pretty good deal. I have already sold a few unneeded parts and broke even.
If this thing won’t run I have a smog exempt truck in CA.
can put a Dmax in it or the super common LS swap or just a Cummins.
who knows.
I dig the 6.5s notoriousness.
we shall see. Was actually hoping for some technical information but this’ll do.

I don't doubt the logic of why would the PO swap in a junk motor and sell, but if he/she never got it running then who's to say it wasn't them that got swindled? That's more my point.
