LEDs are crap in these housings.
LED headlights are crap in most non-OEM applications, and I haven't seen an aftermarket housing yet for a GMT400 that wasn't trash.

Since we're totally derailed at this point...what would be interesting is a retrofit from an OEM application with an LED projector assembly, instead of an HID projector. HMmmmmmmmm

Ditto on derailed.

With my 88 quad sealed beam headlights there's not many options with LEDs. I saw a couple but I don't know if they're still available. Has anyone had any experience with them?

To further the derailment, I can't get the big 3 guy to respond so maybe he's closed up shop and it's a moot point???

I've seen a few people that have done it, but iirc it's pretty involved on these trucks, they had to trim the core support to get the depth they needed for the projector assembly.

You have to trim at minimum, the headlight brackets, just to make room for most of the drop-in LED's. I would automatically assume any projector retrofit would require some opening-up of the core support. Just saying it would be interesting to see if there are any OEM LED projector applications that could be retrofitted. We've already seen several variations of an HID projector retrofit.

I know no one gives a **** anymore but I like to stay legal. there are no legal led or hids for the oem composite lenses. **** has got to be DOT/CSA approved for headlights. there are dot approved leds readily available for the w/t grill.

4 High mod is a legal mod with halogen bulbs.

Federal code requires headlights operable without key on, acc or engine running. Sooo... When you did "headlight relay modification"; activation from headlight switch. Load feed power is what source again? Hot souce with key off? I missed it.
