Eh everyone has anyone installed or know for sale or going to be installing a under hood over the top of engine strut/sway bar?
Idk if anyone’s ever made or sold one? If so has it improved regular ride quality? I can only assume it’s helpful cornering not that anyone is race tracking their trucks lol. But anyway another out of the box question from me lol. And has anyone swapped for rear discs and if so are they anti-locking or just disc brakes? Used a Kit or had installed or taken from a newer model?

So the strut bars are only relevant on vehicles that use McPherson struts. The strut brace (in theory) ties the two sections of the body that support suspension parts together and prevents flex. These trucks do not use the body as a suspension mount. Torsion bars on 4x4, and coil springs to the frame on 2wd.

Since the body isn't incorporated into the suspension, I see no reason why this brace would serve any function beside looks. I think it's only for unibody designs.

I saw somethin i believe on here somewhere that there was a brace that went over the engine tyin the frame rails together with longer shocks that mounted about level with heads. Its been a while so i cant remember exact. Think was some kinda trophy truck set up.

You'd need solid body mounts and the thing would be a monster on these trucks. The ride sucks beyond belief with just poly, so I'd look elsewhere for improvements.

Someone on here has a link to a rear disc brake conversion kit for like $300, few people said they used it and it worked well. I'll see if I can find it.

Had one (stock) on my 04' GTO, barely bad a difference on a car that was setup for it anyway.

I track my Camaro plenty hard and don't feel the want for one. I hear if you hit something, it pushes both shock towers instead of just one. I have a tendency to bump/get bumped so I'm not liking those odds.
If the front end doesn't feel sloppy or loose maybe you don't need one. I'm not a road course guy, so I don't have first hand experience. I do know that unibody cars tend to twist like a sonofabitch when you start putting real power to them. Subframe connectors and strut braces help with that.
