Common issue would be lower intake manifold leak, that can be minor or major (lead to head gasket)

Steering can be off a bit on these truck.

9k is high but we are in age of limited used truck as I'm seeing bunch of higher cost 90s-00s truck being gone quicker than usual.

Ive noticed the same thing. And an uptick in people asking about my truck.
I suspect a lot of people have done a voluntary repo just to get out of a truck payment due to covid and now they are in the market for used.
Ive also noticed that all of the gmt400 and gmt800 at the boneyards have been plucked clean pretty quick.
I also think that as more states try to force us into battery powered Barbie cars the price of gas trucks that you can repair easily is going to keep going up.
And they know that so they are going to try to kill that off by making gas extremely expensive.
But, if you buy a gas truck for 5 grand instead of a Mattel battery truck for 60 grand.
You have 55 geezos left to spend on gas and parts before you break even.
Ill take that deal all day long

My opinion, but that's about twice what it's worth. I dearly love my 2000 K2500HD and I got it for $4200 eight years ago with about the same mileage and a straight body. Look for a crack pipe in the ashtray.

The price is high, but that all depends on how many like it are available in your area. Low miles is a plus, it looks to be in good shape, but keep in mind it is still a 23 year old truck. IMO the truck my be worth as much as $7500 but thats top of the scale. It needs to be in very good condition inside, outside, and power train wise. Also everything needs to work. I will say this, my 97 is in show condition inside and out. Lots of bling under the hood, and about 40 mods all together. I turned down $7000 for it about 2 months ago. Now I need to rebuild the read end. My parts came in today. I will spend about $1000 on my rear end. Before that I told anyone that asked to buy my truck, the price is $10,000. After the rear end rebuild with 373 gears, and a truetrac limited slip, the price goes up to $12,000. The price of these trucks are going up every day. Point is, look your around and see what these trucks sale for. In the end, they are only worth what someone will pay for them.
