That button is likely used for programming and valet features if that alarm has it. Definitely not a GM-installed option tho.

It's a gm part. Cant figure the model though. Idk if it's a vsc3200. They have so many models..
Whenever I hook it up I'm gonna see. According to a parts list it says emergency disarm. I'm under the impression that if I only have the key and open the door the alarm will go off. If I press that button it will shut it off. Idk if that's true. Never tested it in 23yrs...

I am trying to get the seatbelts unbolted from the floor. Got the driver's side broke loose with a breaker bar but the passenger side won't budge. I am thinking of hitting it with some heat from bellow, but don't won't to burn the truck down. I don't care if the carpet gets damaged as it's getting replaced anyway. Thoughts? (I do have a fire extinguisher in the truck but still...)

This wasn't on a 400 series, but I had to replace the left side second row seat belt assembly on my 90 Burb. Belt had gotten frayed and wasn't retracting properly. Found one at the JY. Couldn't get the bolt out of the floorboards, and I had soaked it for 2 days with penetrating oil. Bolt ended up breaking. So....I drilled it out( fun since it is grade 8) and replaced with a grade 8 nut bolt and washers. Worked fine as long as we had the Burb (several more years). And that was where I usually sat.
