Went to the junkyard today to get a few things. The previous owner had changed the d/s door from work truck so it had a black mirror. I was able to get a matching chrome mirror. I also picked up some clear side marker lenses, a factory radio, some better looking dome light lenses, and a fender flare off a 94 Suburban .

I got the radio because it was only $12 so it’ll be nice to have if I go that route.

I got the flare because I’m curious how it’d look.

I’m considering taking the air dam off the bumper to give it a taller appearance.

I also picked up some bulbs for the truck.

Little by little I’ll get the truck where I want it to be. I’ll post pictures tonight after work.

Fender Flares mocked up and I love it. I’ll definitely be going back for the other 3 soon!

LED dome light

I was so excited Id found clear side markers at the jy I didn’t use my noggin to realize I was removing them from a 94+ grille so naturally they don’t fit but now I know how to remove my grill and was able to replace some burnt out bulbs on the front. Oh well. Live & learn.

When I saw SouthernYankee, my first thought was "What? I'm not the only southerner that likes butter and sugar in his grits?!" :D

Hmmm... Uhh. That didn't seem as fru-fru until I typed it out and reread it.

I've always been told people in the south just salt and pepper them, yankee's butter and sugar them.

Anyway...:welcome:

Lol I’ve actually never had grits before haha. Someone called me a southern yankee recently and I really liked it so it felt fitting when I got my truck haha

Also I installed the factory radio I picked up. Granted it’s not hooked up but my phone doesn’t fit in the cubby so I’d rather a dummy radio than a useless cubby for the time being.

Yeah, not impressed with the cubbies or the radio in my truck, but it's my favorite truck! And my references are a '63 F250, a few '70's Fords, a couple of square body Chevys, a '78 Dodge and a '99 Ranger.

My wife is from Michigan, and the first time we went up there for me to meet her parents. We were going out for breakfast, and she told them, we need to go somewhere that has grits. My father in law said, "What the hell is a grit?". That was over 20 years ago, and it still cracks me up.
