Free way to stop your hitch from rattling

Here's a free way to get it to stop rattling: Take it out unless you're actively hitching or towing something. LoL.
I did that on my red truck. Got rear ended and damaged the bumper. If I would have had may hitch nothing would have happened. I also has 3 trucks all with hitchs that would be a pain.

If you left it in, you'd most likely end up with the thing all bent & mangled, to the point of not being able to take it out or even use it. That or you'd still end up with a bent bumper as the hitch will just poke a hole in whatever it stabbed, allowing the rest of the impact to "mellow out" on something with more surface area.

Around here, if you leave the hitch in, it'll just rust in place after a few years and catch calfs in the parking lot. F that noise. Take it out and leave it in the cab if you tow that much with the rig.
