I really like them but sheesh are they expensive. A dinged up set on car-part for $300, maybe I’ll have to find a set somewhere else.

Well I find myself sitting in her making sure she starts and works .. miss her everyday I leave the house.

Gonna pop the valve cover off soon and see if oil circulates to the rockers and if I can get the piston to calm down. Sounds like a diesel lol

Well got the cover off and wanted to see if I could calm down that piston. I actually got it to be quit. Found out that all the rockers are getting oil accept that 1. Next move gonna be to dive deeper and find why oil not making it up

Well gave it a few revs oil started shooting out lol. I'm noticing a squeaking sound. Almost like metal scraping metal. I thought it was from the heads but seems in the lower half of the engine. Really sounds like the flex plate. Took off the access panels and seen the plate isn't spinning perfectly straight.... are they suppose to be like a tire and spin straight or do they have an imperfection while spinning. Torque converter looks straight. Not like the flexplate... anyways any ideas

Now I think for sure it's coming from inside the oil pan. If I put my head close to it I feel like I hear it better

Get yourself a stethoscope or use a long screw driver and put it to your ear and touch the blade to different spots until it's the loudest. But, a stethoscope works better. A buddy of mine, years ago, had the earpiece from one of those antique candlestick phones and screwed a piece of threaded rod into it - wow! That thing worked great!
