Don't think so, but not sure. Were the 243s on the last motor shaved? I could have sworn you did the TBSS intake to this and had it dyno'd or something after the 243s, but you'd know better than me if I'm full of crap or just confusing your builds.

I believe you're thinking of my 1990 RCSB, with a 6.0 that has 243 heads, cam and a TBSS intake manifold.

This burb did have a TBSS intake temporarily.

Received the BTR 7.350" pushrods today. Put them in after work. This new 5.3 is an animal compared to the last lethargic 5.3.

The torque is so linear now, rather than peaky like it was previously.

Felt like Mario Andretti driving the thing home.

Compression test shows 175-180psi.

Drove the truck to work this morning, parked and shut it off. Got a real strong coolant smell.

Ope!

Guess it's heater core replacement Monday!

I'll fiddle with it after work, today.

Front or rear?

On the bright side, the GMT400 platform makes it somewhat easy, compared to others.

Front, luckily enough this truck only has front heat.

I've probably done 40+ of these, still doesn't make it any fun on a worknight!

I'm weird I suppose, I enjoy planning projects during the week and completing them on the weekends. I hate doing "emergency" projects on the weeknights. LOL!
