Alright, I'm waiting on a few odds and ends parts, should be here end of the week, to finish up the motor. I know it doesn't make the truck run better or anything, but I took the time to really clean up under the hood and along the frame. I made use if a power washer and some black spray paint. Please don't pick me to hard for the over spray on the AC condenser. I didn't work to hard on the control arms, for I'm replacing upper and lower....

Well, I got some REAL time to work on the motor today.... I had to get serious about a spring compressor, BTR platinum doubles, and so I was able to finish up the springs and trunnion upgrade. I got the crank timing gear off today. Im replacing the stock chain and gears with a nice Cloyes true billet single roller set. I have one head on and awaiting the install of the other and then I will torque it and then precede forward......

Well, time has been of an issue here lately, and the heat is absolutely kicking my a$$ at work so not a whole lot has gotten done. I'm waiting on a new timing cover, 2 piece with turbo oil return. It should be here Tuesday. I did get parts in for my rearend. I did the PEM Racing 35 spline lightened full spool, Quick Performance 1350 yoke, Quick Performance Daytona pinion support, and Timkine bearings all the way through. And to recap, this is all going into a Strange Engineering nodular case.....

You're keeping power steering and A/C, but going with a spool?

I'm gonna street race it, I live 45 miles from the city, and I'm not building a trailer queen. I'm gonna drive mine!!!! Why wouldn't I do a spool? Who wants to drive in the summer without A/C? Power steering.... Well thats kind of self explanatory.

I'm just a country boy scrapping together as much money as I can to build Wh4t3v3rs. If I had an endless budget and was building a true race car, well I sure would do things different! No A/C, no PS, 2 speed power glide, fuel cell, 90mm turbo, full cage, lexan windows, AND I WOULD DRIVE IT HOW MUCH? My sacrifice to build this is, I drive a 95 GMC 1500 with 350,000 miles on it...... So, once again, I want to drive mine!!!
