I have a 1997 C1500 that has its ABS light on, I have had it scanned and came up with fault codes

*Code 67: open motor circuit or shorted BPMV output
*Code 68: locked motor or shorted motor circuit

I am after some advice on what you think is a good place to start

Also the brakes seem spongy also???

Thanks

Not sure if you can get just a pump since it's integrated in the ABS unit. Might be hard to junk yard an ABS unit in New Zealand?

I think you should use a DVM and run through the diagnostic at the link above for "testing and inspection, C codes charts"

The pump motor is supplied power through a 60 amp fuse that could be blown, or the ground path on the harness. It could just be the wiring on the harness side that needs dressing or maybe just the fuse. The diagnostic using a volt meter (that's the tool they're calling for) will identify if it is the pump or internal circuitry.
