Truck is now stopping wayyyyyy wayyyyyyyyyyy wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better!!!! Almost all the spongy pedal feeling is gone I do believe that the ABS module itself is now the sole culprit for what's left of the unwanted pedal feel. Now I'm torn on either doing away with the ABS or leaving it as is. I have read some folks pull the ABS fuse but I haven't felt a difference.

I did the

gmt 800 mc

Lsmfg front drilled and slotted rotors with the upgraded calipers along with the braided lines

The rears are put together with

Calipers and Pads for 1990 k1500 with 5.7

Right caliper part # C552 / 18-4301
Left caliper part # C553 / 18-4302

Rear Brake lines I got with LSMFG and asked for the rear replacement braided brake lines for their kit and they worked perfectly.

If you want rubber lines that go to caliper look for the rear brake caliper lines for a 2000 and up with rear disc.

For 5 lug.
Brake Rotors off an Impala SS Rear. Rotor stud hole needs to be enlarged to a 9/16 hole. I used a drill and did them by hand.

Rotor Part # 56450R / ACDELCO 18A656A

For 6 lug.
Brake Rotors are from the K1500 Fronts.

Rotor Part # 5977RGS/5568

So you've disabled the park brake? Doesn't seem to sharp.

Do your calipers need the park brake to adjust properly?

If my calipers needed them to adjust then I wouldve kept them, also it's my vehicle so I'll do what I please with it. If you are looking to keep the parking brake setup then order your setup from LSMFG

Around here, we have what's called the CVSE.
'Commercial Vehicle Safety & Inspection'.
Mobile inspectors that can set up their massive mobile stations most anywhere they damn well please. Mostly truck stops or weigh scales only because of the convenience.
Thing is...they're not just 'inspectors'. They are a division of the RCMP.
Cops with wrenches. ...and guns. These guys have the book of rules, the knowledge of, & the ability to enforce them.
Any other can cop can only tag ya for visible defects. Working lights, tire tread depth & a working horn.
The CVSE guys have the tools to dismantle a vehicle down to bare bones if they have the inclination.
Mostly they deal with the truckers. But they can order any vehicle they deem unfit to go through their inspection at anytime. Ignore them & a mile down the road & you're at gunpoint.
Both of my vehicles have modified suspensions. They love that.
I've been ordered over & held up, (pun intended) in a weigh station parking lot for 2 hours while they fiddle & fart around, going all under every inch of my truck with a fine tooth comb.
That time I was, let's say, a little cranky & bit fussy with them. So...their attitude was, "Wanna be a smart-ass? Shut up & put up. We gotchya for as long as we feel like it. There ain't nothing you can do about it."
The ********.
No E-Brake? I'd be riding shotgun in a flat deck, on my dime, transporting my truck home faster than I could say "But..."
The work CVSE says has to be done would have to be done by a certified mechanic. Then, presented to CVSE within a specified time. along with the paperwork & the truck, only to have to have the work be 'certified' (re-inspected!) by them.
Again, on my dime, including having to pay the CVSE their hourly rate for such 'inspections'.
Plus whatever fines they nailed me with the first time they inspected the truck. A HUGE cash-grab!
Basically it's just...bend over.
...and you don't even get a corsage out of the deal.

I absolutely must have an e-brake.

I have a complete Impala SS rear diff here with the disc brakes, (+ a Limited Slip carrier!) and the only thing that's kept me from doing the disc swap is that no-one seems to know which e-brake cables or whatever mods are required to get the system to work on a 400.
Anyone have some knowledge about this?

Do you know if the LSMFG braided lines are compatible with the 9C1/SS calipers?

Yeah, but there are many places around the USA where there are no vehicle inspections of any kind. My truck was last inspected in 1997 when Arkansas did away with safety inspections. I registered it as an antique in Virginia to get around the safety inspections there. And now I'm in Nebraska, and there are no safety inspections here either.
