Threw a new water pump and thermostat in just before Christmas and drove from Michigan to Alabama and back to visit family for the holidays. The Tahoe performed flawlessly except for a clamp I forgot to tighten when we started the trip. Ended up loosing some coolant so had to stop and buy some more as well as tighten the clamp.

Also drained the transmission fluid and changed the filter before leaving.

Last weekend I drove over 500 miles round trip to the U.P. snowmobiling. Averaged about 11mpg with my two place trailer lol. Ran great though! Rolled over 234,000 on the way there.

No pictures this time, but had the rear main seal replaced last week. It was leaving a spot roughly the size of a paper plate on my driveway after every drive. 237,000 on the clock as of now.

Fired her up and an O2 sensor decided to quit so replaced that too.

Long story, but on Tuesday I was the victim of an insurance scammer. Guy passed me in a parking lot and swerved in front of me before locking up his brakes. I tried to miss his car and almost did, but hit the rear corner. He was upset that I drove down an aisle in front of him while he was cutting through the parking lot across empty parking spaces. Pissed off doesn’t even describe my feelings.

Cracked the plastic bumper cap and pushed the bumper in as well as dented the corner. Now in the process of trying to find some used parts or just buy some new stuff from LMC.

That's a bummer I hate people so much sometime hope you can find the parts in a junkyard. I have had good luck in the past I even got a color match bumper one time so didn't even need to pay to get it painted.

I’ve been trying to find the same color bumper locally, but there aren’t many yards near me with newer vehicles in stock. Been checking groups on Facebook without much luck either. I’ll probably be forced to buy new and have it painted unfortunately.

Had the weekend off work so yesterday I was able to get out in the barn and replace the passenger side rear window motor/regulator. Decided to go with TYC brand. Now I can get the truck in for some window tint since I was waiting on that.

Changed the rear brakes today, changed the oil and gave her a wash as well as the Silverado yesterday. We’re heading up to the sand dunes tomorrow and I can’t have both vehicles being dirty lol.

Went to a U Pull It the other day to grab a passenger mirror, 3rd brake light, and some other small pieces. Rolled over 242,000 on the way there. Found a Tahoe identical to mine, but she was stripped completely. Installed my new 3rd brake light tonight and of course it doesn’t work....looks better than the old one though lol.

Also threw on the lower body plastic I was given by a member awhile back. I’m just trying to make it look presentable at this point. It’s a solid truck, but does have several small dings. It gets window tint in a few days.

Just picked it up from the tint shop today. Went with limo tint all the way around. I couldn’t be happier. Excuse the less than stellar photos lol.
