I got a whipple side mount unit I plan on putting on my truck. Curious on what IAT other people have experienced. Contemplating putting a meth system on if they're too high but would like other people's experiences as well.

If you got a whipple side mount unit please reply with the following:
IAT at full throttle, pulley size, boost level, cooling method (none, AA intercooler, AW intercooler, meth with nozzle size and nozzle location), any other relevant info.

Thanks in advance,

Alex

I have a whipple on mine, but thanks to NYS all the DMV's are closed, so can't put it on the road. But I've read that they don't make crazy boost, so temps are kinda low. More boost more heat...

Yeah. Should be about 6 psi with the stock pulley. Guess I'll just find out when the time comes.

Last I looked it was close to 200 in the dead of summer with a 2.75" pulley (3" stock) making all of 4psi here in CO. Stock TB, marine cam and intake, headers. Computer pulls timing to save itself and it's still way better than NA.

Hmmm... See the problem is I like timing. Lol. Probably gonna run meth. Really should just run an intercooler. I just wish the computer had duel fueling tables like it does for spark.

If you're running a custom operating system, you can program the NOS retard to be triggered by the meth setup running out of juice as a safety net.

100% meth did nothing for cooling IATs when I was injecting pre-blower. I was using it for octane boost to run more timing safely. It was an custom alkycontrol kit.

With a 2-5/8" pulley on a stock L31, I saw 80* iats on a 60* day while cruising with my Air to water intercooler setup.
