Figured this is the right location for this, so my truck doesn’t have fog lights, if I were to add them obviously I would need to put the right valance on and get fog lights, my question is, how do they mount? Do I need to modify to fit or so they go off existing mounting points?

I have a horn related question for a 1998 Chevy c1500 Silverado. I am in the process of restoring a wrecked one and I have replaced the front fenders, passenger door and the entire radiator support (radiator, AC condensor, wiring, lights, etc.). I have it all back together and now my horn doesn't work. I have replaced the fuse, relay and checked the plunger. I know the horns work because I cut the old pigtail off and hooked them to the battery, but nothing happens when I push on the button! I did noticed something, the radiator support I am using has an additional pigtail coming off of the horn that sits right in the center of the grille. My original didn't have this; did the vehicle this came off of have 3 horns? Is that a thing? I've looked at any wiring diagram I can find, but I don't see this plug. The pigtail looks similar to a horn plug, but a horn doesn't quite match up. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

If the donor vehicle was a Tahoe/Suburban, it might be the temperature sensor for the rear view mirror. Wiring diagram for 1998 says it’s a two wire connector, green/black and brown.

Ok I can see we have a some really good questions on this thread and this is not one of those....

I am trying to decide if I want to put a 4x10 replacement in the roof speakers of my 97 suburban or use the 6X9 3 way Boston acoustics that were last in my 82 GT Stang. Seen a YouTube video where I can pull the plates down and install the 6X9 in the truck. What would this august body of GMT400 enthusiasts suggest?

BTW the current 4x10 don't work and am unsure how long that has been the case.

Plenty of people have done the 6x9 conversion, but personally I wouldn't do it as the speaker mounting brackets are thin sheet metal and only secured on one side. I don't like the idea of hanging additional weight off of them without reinforcing them somehow. I'd get the Kicker KSC41004 4x10s. The entire Kicker KS series sound great and are made with real rubber surrounds so they'll hold up reasonably well over time.
