So I have been looking in to converting my 2500 to a dually and the rear I have figured out , but I was wondering if anyone has used the newer chevy factory hub extensions on the older trucks .

I'm not familiar with the adapters you speak of. In 2010/2011 GM went to a larger 8-bolt pattern, so there's that.

Check out the hub adapters from the GMT-400 4x4s.... maybe they'll bolt onto the 2wds too. You could always swap in 2wd dually rotors... I assume the spindle is the same. The knuckles are the same on 4x4 trucks between DRW and SRW.

Swap in the larger calipers/pads too..... I run them on my SRW truck.

All of my advice is assuming you have the 8-lug heavy 3/4, and not the light 6-lug truck.

I just looked at your other threads.... very nice truck!

I think I'd look at the dually rotors first. I think GM would have used the same adapters that the 4x4 uses if it were the best solution. If the spindles are different between SRW and DRW, it shouldn't be too big a deal to swap them out.... new ball joints and an OEM configuration wouldn't hurt.

2007, so it might work as that's before GM went to the larger lug pattern, but why not try GMT-400 parts first? Get on one of the dealer parts websites and/or ebay and check to see if the spindles are the same between SRW and DRW. They probably are, and then all you have to do is order DRW brakes and it will all be the same system as what a factory dually would have.

I'm with Jeff. If they work I want some. Can get them powder coated before install too. I imagine the adapters are hub centric, so is the hub lip diameter the same on the 800? To Google we go.
