Yea, I have, but I’m looking for input in regard to my initial question. I’m okay with the price and effort to do so, all I want to know is if the case can get damaged in anyway during the powder coat process.

You've already been told that warping can be a concern.

I’m trying to have a discussion here and want input from as many people as possible. I’m not going to end the thread after I get one answer.

What are you trying to accomplish here? You haven’t provided any helpful input, only negative and otherwise unhelpful comments. If you don’t agree with taking the time to powder coat a transfer case or don’t have anything productive to add to the conversation, move along. No one forced you to click the thread.

Anyway, this is the look I’m going for. Not red, but I love how it looks and if there’s a leak or it gets mud on it, it can easily wipe or spray off

Talk to the powder coater., not all powder processes are the same.
The one I used to work for ran everything thru a Wheelabrater to blast it with steel shot before the 7 stage wash.
This wouldn't be good for you partially assembled parts or possibly the aluminum.
SIlicone plugs take care of the powder getting in the threads.

Thanks. I assumed it was all the same process - blasting and then powder coating. I'm planning to call the local shop tomorrow. I figured there would need to be a delicate blasting process and not super coarse-grained sand since it's relatively soft metal instead of steel
