it went pretty well, I think it’s worth it, the

brake line was kind of a pain to connect but for the most part it was pretty straight forward. I used a sawzall to remove the drum plates.

the upgraded master is nice too, Much better pedal feel and braking power.

Good deal, I appreciate the feedback on that. Gives me more confidence in dropping the money on the kit.

Yeah I expect the bending of the lines to meet up with their bracket to be a bit of a pain just by looking at how it all goes together.

It would be nice to get away with cutting my backing plate, I mean I could.. but it's kind of a two birds/one stone situation since my axle seals are leaking.
Hard to hide an axle seal leak with these crappy brakes, I can't stand the pulsation that the diff oil causes when it leaks into the drums.

Should be two more weeks of saving before being able to afford all of it.

Ah then yeah this kit makes complete sense.

I only went disc because my drums were worn... perfect time to upgrade. Good luck.

4 months and rears are working perfect. Just wanted to pass along that this kit is worth the money.

So the solution to your soft pedal issue was switching the lines around at the master cylinder?

no, it was air in the system. I still have not switched the lines at the master. Kind of "it works, leave it alone. After I removed the ABS, I was able to use 88-94 front brake lines, the "two into one" kind. I was able to bend the line into the prop-valve w/ out having to cut/re-flare the end. For the rear I got another "end" tube, the one that goes from just under the body up to the prop-valve, again, using stock flare. Put them into the bottom of the prop-valve w/ just the one adapter and I used stock lines going from the valve to the master (stock flare). I had to go thru almost 2 bottles of fluid and in the end I guess I was expecting a harder pedal, but in the end i have what I have. My next plan is to upgrade to 13" or 14" rotors using junk yard parts. If it works, I'll post some data.

Are you running 15" rims? I'm considering getting a kit but site says they fit in some but not all 15" rims. Some light sanding of mating surfaces may be required. seems sketchy
