Wiper mod

There used to be a thread on here where someone shortened the wiper arms and used 2 different length blades for more windshield coverage. I don't seem to be able to find it any more. Does anybody have a link for this?

I do recommend finding a way to get a stronger spring. I am running 22's and they skip across the windshield

Awesome, thanks for sharing the link. So even with the later your saying the springs are weak?

I did the mod to the wiper arms today. I was able to use 24" blades on both sides. It works just perfect. I used the Michelin Stealth XT blades. I did find out that the arms are side specific. I had them on the wrong side and they skipped pretty bad. I can't see the difference but if you look really good on the back you can see a "D" and a "P". I put them on the correct sides and the skipping stopped.

Dixiepc did you use the 02 wiper arms or modify yours? I have a 93 and would like to do this mod.

I can see how shortening the arms would allow for a larger blade. I just wanted to see if there was a bolt on option.
