I have a 96 K1500 (5.7 Auto) which I am going to manual swap. I have a complete donor truck which is a 91 K1500 (4.3 5 Speed). Now I've done tons of research and know just about everything to do with this swap except for what to do with the PCM. Will the 350 auto PCM work with the 5 Speed? I've seen a post where a guy said it would work if you make it think its always in park, however he didn't elaborate or say how to do this. If it wont work, is there a way I can go into it and change the transmission settings without purchasing expensive tuning software? Also, i cant seem to find ANY PCMs for sale on the internet for a 350 5 Speed, which makes me think it doesn't matter what transmission it is hooked up to. Please if anyone has information about this or has done it for themselves, tell me what you think. After reading a million posts it seems like everyone is very vague about this topic and makes me wonder if anyone really knows what they're talking about lol. Thanks!

All I had to do was bridge the neutral safety in the transmission harness so it would start. Other than that everything worked fine. Even Cruse

Did you notice any difference in drivability? I see some people saying it messes up the idle when you use an auto computer.

Did it throw a bunch of codes? I don't care about them, as long as it doesn't effect the drivability.
CEL never came on. First thing I did after the swap was make a 3 hour round trip with a 1 ton pallet. Drove like butter
