When I bought my 98 c1500 5.7, 5 Speed 3.42's G80 new it came with cheap Uniroyal 235-75-15 tires and it was real easy to burn the tires in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. gear. I now only run Michelins LTX MS 2 and I don't attempt that any more because of the grip factor they offer. I can still a burnout in 1st, and 2nd but it's not worth it.

I have 4.10s, 2300RPM stall TC, stock 235/75R-15s. I have to feed the gas to it off the line to keep from smoking the one tire, LOL. I just checked my speedometer against a radar sign, all of a sudden I'm off 1 MPH - probably from burning that tire too much, ha ha. Next time I'm gonna go with a fatter tire. What's the biggest tire I can get by with on these stock rims?
15x7? I had 275/60R15s all the way around the Express on the stock rims when it was still 5 lug.

Yeah, I think so. At least I'll gain somewhere about 1.2" in width and stay close to OE height.

All you tough guys that seem to smoke tires with ease need to bring your ***** here to CO and see how unpossible the burnies become.
Won't happen at your elevation, LOL, but I may be able to tune a little more fuel into it. Who knows? You can't beat boost in high altitudes though, I'll give you that!

That's why both trucks are packing blowers. There is no substitute. They'll blow donuts in TX though on concrete. :D
