Strange power/throttle response :454 burb

No, I used some other brand, but as long as it's quality I wouldn't see why it won't work. Do you have any check engine lights? Could be a bad distributor among other things.

No check engine lights- just ordered new injectors from summit today. I’ll use the scanner to see if it’s throwing codes tho.

I put in a brand new Spectra Premium distributor, another member put in a new PerTronix and the ICMs in both of them failed shortly after. Mine within 3000 miles. I replaced it with an AC Delco and it runs fine now.

Yeah that’s what’ve i’ve heard, of course after the fact of installing the blue streaks. I’m probably going to install when the injectors come in and if that doesn’t do it then i’ll pull the distributor.

got the new injectors in today- it’s still running rough if not more. When i tried to drive it it stalls out when given gas. I leave for college on saturday and this is killing me.

How many miles have you been able to put on it? Best case scenario, the ECU may be "relearning" and have to acclimate to the new injectors.

haven’t been able to put any miles on it with the new injectors because it would die as soon as i have it any throttle. I replaced the entire distributor then warmed her up to adjust the timing. when i was adjusting it to 0 degrees it idles real low then died. Tried to start it again and it idles real low and stalled out.

put in bwd injectors because the ones i ordered from summit kept getting back ordered and weren’t gonna get here in time for me to leave so i was forced to get bwd from advanced auto. Fuel pressure’s good- i’ve replaced the pump and filter already.

Did they all go in the correct holes? What are you using to set the distributor?
