Hey man, so i found this on eBay. It's the aldl cable and it says it comes with the software to run the diagnostics and scanner features from a laptop. Would this be enough to diagnose my truck??Yes there is ones such as the Snap On "Brick". Go on sleasebay and look. I use TunerPro RT v5 and an ALDL/USB cable to data log and monitor, plus a Moates Burn2 to flash 27SF512 chips.

Yes, along with TunerPro RT v5xxx software. This is a 12 pin ALDL cable, it'll work on 88 - 93. If you want to connect to a 94 or 95 you'll need a 16 pin.Hey man, so i found this on eBay. Hmmm.. This is the same one I have and it says 82-95. Is this the wrong plug for a 95 ?Yes, along with TunerPro RT v5xxx software. This is a 12 pin ALDL cable, it'll work on 88 - 93. If you want to connect to a 94 or 95 you'll need a 16 pin.

Check your pin location, you should be using pins 5 & 9.Hmmm.. This is the same one I have and it says 82-95. Is this the wrong plug for a 95 ?
So would this one work? It says 16 pin. The reason why I'm feeling inclined to buy this one on eBay is because it comes with a software disc. If for any reason TunerPro RT doesn't work for me, I have a back up.Yes, along with TunerPro RT v5xxx software. This is a 12 pin ALDL cable, it'll work on 88 - 93. The disc has drivers for your USB interface (which windows 10 already has), not programming software. So would this one work? It says 16 pin. 94 & 95 were transitional years in which some used 12 pin OBD1 or 16 pin OBD2 connector but were still OBD1, 96 and up were the 1st generation of truly OBD2. Either way, this is only an interface for a programming tool such as TP.PlayingWithTBI, from your previous post #34 and pic #36 it looks and sound like I should have a 16 pin. But I think mine is a 12 pin unless I'm not understanding this correctly.
