Does anybody have a 1989 center wiper cowl section they want to sell ? Other years will probably work as long as it in good shape . This is the long plastic ribbed piece that has the holes the wipers goes through located at the base of the windshield. Shipping would be to 34756 Fl. Tx J.

LMC has 'em brand new for $100 + $20 oversize charge, + whatever additional shipping. Sounds kinda high and LMC is usually higher than most sources, but GM list price for the same part is $175. If you hunt around you'll find them from various GM dealers online around $130-$150 just watch the S&H as that's where they usually get you.

If you were local to TX I have a brand new GM one with the tag still attached, never installed.. shipping would kill any savings though, best for a local dela on that one.

You can probably still find a decent one in the boneyards if you hunt, just be sure you get -all- the screws out as it's easy to overlook one especially near the center, and it doesn't take much tugging to break the plastic.

Any fullsize pickup or SUV any year in the GMT400 body style uses the same piece.

On my 1989 RCSB I ended up paying up and buying new from Summit Racing GM WIPER COWL p/n 15043016 ....its a pretty good piece , looks stock, gloss black . $172 out the door including oversized shipping..as you know they get you on the oversized shipping.... anyway it bolted right up and got here pretty quick which I needed . I looked at Ebay ,junk yards , most were cracked , blemmed in some way or another and they still wanted $100 + for them etc ....so I just figured I would pay up for a brand new piece instead that will last down here in the Florida sun . Will post pic tonight .

Whew.. how much was the part without shipping? I've had mine listed for $100, brand new GM.

I just looked up prices on a few sites out of curiosity. I bought one of these for my Suburban a few years back from Amazon, but couldn't remember what I paid for it. It was $170 with free shipping. Some places have them priced lower but with separate shipping charges. They all end up right around $170 though.

Yep that's pretty much what I found.

If anyone is anywhere near Houston they could have mine for $100 firm. It's brand new OEM never installed, part # tag still attached.
