Looks like I’m going with Spectra CU1696. This is the radiator for 7.4L, with engine and trans oil coolers, Exc. 15,000 GVWR (3500HD).

As far as the brackets are concerned, the ones I saw yesterday in the junkyard are the same ones on my truck. They sit slightly below flush to the top of the radiator support. The ones I need stand about 2” taller than the top.

I should also clarify for the future. The “short” brackets are currently still available under p/n 15574275 & 15574276. The “tall” brackets p/n 15678761 & 15678762 have been discontinued.

So the hunt continues.

Well, it’s been a busy summer. Seems like every day is booked with something. I’ve gone on a few more camping trips and the truck has been good to me. Seems like it only got hot on that 3hr trip up I95 in 90 something degree heat.

I went to the local pick n pull tonight to find a few parts for my old ZR2. I’ve got a guy interested in buying it, so I’m just trying to fix a couple things. Had zero luck with the S10 parts, but did good on the GMT400 front.

I managed to find some exhaust hangers that were in decent shape. I’ll be doing that 4” 6.5L exhaust sometime in the future. Found a nice Blazer console with the DIC and grabbed a Homelink for it too. Also robbed that Blazer of it’s ‘411 PCM. Then I struck GTM400 gold, or so I thought.

So the Denali was pooched. Some ******** destroyed the door panels to get the speakers out. I grabbed the wood from the front doors, as well as the cluster. I didn’t have a 7mm socket. It’s amazing what a human can do when properly motivated. I was excited to see a fog light switch, only to find out at home it was broken. It never ceases to amaze me how these ******* junkyard savages will destroy a good part to get a nickel and dime piece.

I guess someone plans to stitch the embroidery onto something? They busted the door handles, and the upper wood trim was gone. I got the window switches. Dash bezel didn’t have the wood trim. Maybe that’s an Escalade only part?
