I’m having the same issue. At idle I’m running about 10-15psi Warmed up. My oil pressure does not exceed about 30. What’s the telling me?

My 88 5.7 runs @ 10-12psi when warm idling and up to 30 @ 2700rpm with Mobil1 10w-40 but will idle at 20psi and go up to 50psi @ 2700rpm with Mobil1 15w-50. I'm not worried about it.

I wanna say my oldl TBI motor idled in the 20 range and cruised in the 30-35 range. The Vortec rides a bit higher, all observed on stock gauges. I wouldn't sweat the motor just yet.

Keep in mind that "stock" gauges may not reflect actual oil pressure. On some vehicles, the computer drives the gauge, not the pressure sensor. The gauge reads whatever the computer is programmed to show.

One of GM dirty secrets. Drives down warranty costs because the gauge shows "good" oil pressure that doesn't upset the customer.
