Has anyone bought the Belltech 9906 or 9907 front and rear sway bar set? I’m trying to determine if it fits lowered trucks without modification or if modification is necessary, what all is required.

Thanks

Mine had a front sway bar so I just replaced the endlinks and bushings. Their's I just did last week with their 5504 (?) rear anti sway bar. My truck is about 8" dump in the rear so the first attempt created a bad angle for the end links with their supplied endlink bar which was 7" as I remember, so I bought a 6" endlink bolt, shortened the spacer tube accordingly and it was still a bad angle so I went to a 5" bolt and shortened the spacer tube to 1.5". That appears to be OK and its as short as you/I could go.
See photos, hope this helps

One other thing, when marking your holes on the frame for the endlinks (after you have hung it from the 3rd member) the truck should be on the ground like it is when driving otherwise your holes will be off, ask me how I know this LOL
If you look at the last photo you can see my blunder :bawl:

Look into Hellwig for the rear bar. Dunno if they still do, but years ago they had a design that did not require drilling into the frame. It also came with two sets of end links, short and long, for dropped and stock heights.

BTW it can be a sonofabitch to mark your installation with a lowered truck sitting on the ground, so jack it up on all fours and support it with stands on the suspension instead of the frame. :)

The Belltech came with 2 sets of end links also..one for dropped trucks and one for normal, mine was lowered more than their short one was designed for but as you see its an easy fix, and you are correct about it being tough to mark the frame with the truck sitting on the ground, but that's what you have to do or the holes will be off as I found out lol

Right, but if you support it on stands on the suspension - lower control arms and rear axle - it doesn't know it's not on the ground. ;) Or better yet, drive it up on a set of four ramps. File that in the work smarter, not harder, pile.

Well... I ordered the front and rear kit from Andy’s Auto Sport for the 454 a couple days ago. It was about $150 cheaper than anywhere else. Now all I gotta do it hit up my local JY and find me a 2WD 2500 with a 14 bolt prime for the pick’n and get with BT about what all I’m gonna need to convert my flip from the 10 to 14 bolt. All said, I figure it shouldn’t cost much more than the $150 I saved until I start looking to put in that truetrac in.
