What other site is he on?
He's on GMSB as well. That's where I first heard of him and bought my auto down for my 87 burb a few years back. I don't see him being real active on there anymore but he does seem to visit the site pretty often.

Well, as promised the harness came in, so here's my update.

While I cannot throw it in the truck this week due to the rain, it looks to be a well-made harness. The loom is well made and wrapped with electrical tape to help with a clean install. The only thing it is lacking is instructions, but I'm sure it is self-explanatory once I get in there. It also came with the "sealed 40A Hella relays", as gmachinz promised. That being said, I find myself with mixed emotions of the domino effect that was created by my thread.

Like I said, I'm conflicted with the outcome of this thread. My goal was to receive a response, and now he's banned, for better or for worse. I do understand Shaggy does has every right to protect this forum and its credibility, and I do applaud him for that, at the end of the day gmachinz did get banned. Being fed up because I felt like I was being taken advantage of caused me to create this thread, but now after receiving the product and coming back to this levelheaded, I don't think I would've gave it the same approach.

Not really too sure how I'm going to end this post, but I'll leave you guys with these last things to come to your own conclusion. While I disagree with the communication aspect of gmachinz business (he left his business name on the box, which shall remain nameless), he did uphold his side of the bargain at the end of the day. While it took a little more than a month to get to me, the truth of it is, I did receive the product I paid for, that's what leaves me conflicted.

I wouldn't feel too bad about it. While he makes a great product, he has a history of crappy communication (just looked at the thread I ordered from & it was closed for that a couple years ago, although he's still active on that site so I guess he sorted it out with their admins since then). It sucks he got banned, but if it takes a PayPal dispute just for a status update that cancels out a lot of my sympathy.

And looking through that thread I found this post with a picture of my harness including the jumper I needed replaced (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showpost.php?p=7051145&postcount=42). Makes me a little grumpy that he mentioned the jumper in his post, wish I'd seen it back when I was still trying to get a replacement.

Conducting a business and handling communication is something that goes with it. YOU are not at fault. It sounds like he needs to either set aside to handle communications with customers or make these up to ship out when required instead of on an as needed basis.

You shouldn't be,. You hadn't received your stuff or any information about the stuff you paid for. You were concerned and frustrated because of no communication. You vented and asked for advice. The dude comes through after you went through all this stuff plus the claim with paypal. You were upfront told everyone you finally received the items. All of this is above board.

Shaggy dropped the hammer, his judgement call not yours. Getting banned isn't a death sentence like most make it out to be. It's just the internet. He'll be back with another user name like they all do. If he's smart he'll lay low, if not Shaggy will get him again like a game of whack a mole. :)

Yeah, you guys are right. Since he did deliver I felt awful of the outcome. But I always like to look past these situations and see the best in people, I guess it's pretty easy to look past the flaws once I saw the product. That is no way to conduct business, period. Communication is everything and should be relayed to the customer if there are delays. Hopefully gmachinz takes this as a learning opportunity on customer relations.

@88monteSS if you want to try and contact him through his Facebook, shoot me a PM and I'll give you the info. Maybe he'll come to his senses and help you out.

I also purchased a 4-Hi harness kit. I'm going from a 1998 sealed beam work truck light to the composite lights. It took me almost six months to finally getting around to doing the job. I was under the impression that it was a plug and play. There were no instructions on how to plug / splice the new harness into the existing one. Can anyone tell me how that is done?

You have to cut and repin the end connections to 9005/9006 plugs. The actual terminals inside the plugs are h4 for the single large sealed beam. The large sealed beam (h4) have a ground, a low, and a high wire. You will have to run a second ground..each of the composite bulbs have a ground.
