Getting some more cleaning and painting done, I'll order the rest of the parts I need after December. I want to have everything ready so I can just bolt parts on.

The 2500 calipers and drilled and slotted rotors saved my butt today. Had a guy panic stop in front of me on the highway to merge into the right lane. The car behind me had to go into the median to avoid hitting me. Scary, but very thankful nothing happened.

I did a cool little key fob upgrade today that I had been thinking of doing for a while now. Only complaint is that is comes really close to the shifter as you pass reverse, which I do have a gmt900 shifter too. Other than that, it works great and takes up less space on my keychain!
Now I need to get the MPC remote start kit so I can keep my remote.

Decided to install the fender flares I've had since febuary. I wish I would've installed them sooner!

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

I still gotta make it out your way one of these days; maybe plan a trip to 109 U-Pull; do they have a decent amount of 400s or Squarebody trucks?

Burb looks amazing, still jealous of your Z71 fogs too!

I'm actually working in Salisbury now, so I'm not far from you! And they had a few if I remember correctly, probably more now. And thank you! I still need to reseal them from where I painted part of the housings.

I got new headers for Christmas and threw one on my lq4 to see what it looked like and how much room I have from the engine. I also test fitted the alternator bracket I bought as well. If all goes well, I will have a lq4 swapped Suburban in about 2 months!

All of my accessories are painted and on, minus the ac bracket I'm waiting on. I dont have many more parts left to get before I'm ready to pull my 350 and install the 6.0.

I somehow managed to pull the threaded insert out with the engine cover and can't get it off. Does anyone know what size the insert is so I can install a new one for my cover to be able to bolt down in?

I almost have everything I need for the swap now, except for radiator and heater hoses, an ac bracket, and some sort of air intake. I grabbed a maf sensor, wiring for the maf sensor, cam position sensor, 3 wire temp sensor, and a vacuum booster barb for 20 bucks yesterday from a local junkyard. I also installed my new ICT Billet water pump and thermostat housing bolts.

Saturday is the big day, provided the weather holds out! Hoping to at least have the 350 pulled Saturday so I can start cleaning up and painting the frame. I mocked up air intake on the engine and held it in its approximate location in my engine bay. Looks like I may have to shorten it just a tad or run a shorter filter. I'm super excited and just pray that everything works out well!

After going at it all day yesterday, the old engine is finally out! Now to clean up the oil off the frame and shoot some paint on it before dropping in the lq4. Any recommendations on a good steering box besides redhead?
