Little update:
I scored another set of esky gauges and an esky bezel. Painted the bezel using SEM 17173 Medium Grey, but it's just too light for my taste. So I'm going to sand it back down and spray it with Duplicolor HPV111 Charcoal Grey to go with my interior accents.
I finally bit the bullet and ordered a set of Spyder glass lens headlights, separated the lens, and painted them like my old black and chrome housings. It turned out better than the way the others were new lol. I still have one light to do, just too lazy to get to it.
Lastly, I ordered a new 145 amp ad244 since the electric fans and ac are killing my voltage.

Haven't posted anything here in a while, so here's an update:

After installing my electric fans I upgraded to the ad244 alternator and love it. Only thing I need now is to do the big 3 upgrade and get a different heater line that doesn't hit the alternator.

Just finished up making brackets and installing them today. I also trimmed my old fan should to fit it and cover the top of the radiator.

I am currently on the lookout for a lq4 engine so I can start collecting parts for the ls swap I've wanted to do for so long. I'm pretty excited about that!

If all goes well, I'll be pulling a lq4 from a 2002 sierra 2500hd on Saturday for the burb. Mileage is unknown because the cluster is gone, but judging by the interior condition it appears to be around 150k by my guess.

I may price it just to see, but at the moment I don't plan on getting it. It is a 4wd truck too with the manual transfer case. I have been looking for over a year for a good deal on a lq4 and I believe this is the one!

Well, I finally got around to pulling the lq4 and got to bring her home! Now it's time to start collecting parts I need to do my swap.

I decided against buying the transmission due to the fact that it had a bad leak where the transfer case bolts up and was probably in need of a rebuild. I figured my one year old 4l60e should be able to handle a stock lq4 for a little while before giving out.

I'm also finding good use of my old k&n air intake.

What junkyard is that? I need somewhere new to poke around for parts I don't need

Looking forward to seeing more updates on this!
I might ask for some help with an 0411 swap on my truck sometime soon if I ever make up my mind, if you'd be willing to help that is;
