My parking brake handle broke on my ‘94. I ordered the GM replacement part and got it today and was thinking it was going to be a simple pop-in install. The cable I received, however, seems really long? Would anyone mind posting a pic of their ‘94 or older parking brake cable/connection (from the handle to the lever)? I have searched to no avail.

This would be a HUGE help, THANK YOU!

When I got a new cable I had the same dilemna,,the only way it would work is if I looped it.Did that two or three years ago and it still works fine,a little harder to pull but at least it works.

Find a place to splice into the line and loop connect them. You can find clips that hold the loops in place if you want to, that line should hold forever lol

That’s it! So goofy ... It makes absolutely no sense why the aftermarket part is so long. I just needed to know that u wasn’t trippin lol.
