Wondering if a jump seat from a GMT800 would work in the 95+ trucks? I know the mounts are going to be totally different, but will it fit between the bucket seats? This is the truck I am looking at for the jump seat: https://cedarrapids.craigslist.org/pts/d/2000-silverado-2500-parting/6621619963.html

I'm sick of my console and arm rests! I want a full armrest instead of the puny arm rests on these 95+ trucks. The middle seat would be nice in general to sit on for doing work in the middle of the dash, plus it would make it a hell of a lot easier than swapping to a 60/40!

I texted the guy wondering how much he would take for the jump seat.

Following this; I've thought about swapping my 60/40 for buckets and the jump seat but I'm not sure how to go about the swap.
I swear I've seen this done before but I can't remember where.

When I was parting out the 99 sierra I got as a donor a young man with a rcsb gmt400 bought the jumpseat and said he might come back for the the other two gmt800 seats if it didn’t work with the stock buckets. I didn’t hear from him again

Thanks @5vortec7, that's just what I wanted to hear.

@BowtieBrody yeah I thought the same thing. Tried searching but couldn't find anything about this swap. If it does end up working, I will be sure to post back the results if I end up getting it.

The guy got back to me this morning and said he would take $75 for the jump seat, is that fair? Or should I offer him a little less?

If it’s in decent shape I’d say pretty good deal. It was one of the most asked about parts on my part out.

Oh ok. In the pictures, it looks like it is in nice shape, for how old the truck is. Maybe I could go look at it sometime.

The guy said there are no rips or tears, and says it's in really nice shape. Think I should buy it?
