Im new to this forum and was wondering if anyone has SAS there 2wd c1500 and has any advice or help

SAS-Solid axle swap
Theres a couple that have SAS but dnt remember how many have done a 2wd. There a couple guys asking abt using factory spring pockets, me being one of them. It can be done

Still is. Meant to say I've asked abt using the factory spring pockets if I do SAS, undecided on whether or not I want to. I'll see if I can find the thread where someone's asked abt the pockets.

I’m in the middle of my 2wd SAS. Engine crossmember needs to be cut and trimmed. Best to cut off control arm mounts flush to frame to make clearance for headers. I’m using the ORD bolt on kit. With 79 Chevy Dana 44. Th400 trans and the np208 transfer case. I designed my new crossmember and just waiting on the shop to finish cutting and bending it.

I used the ORD brackets and 2.5” lift leaf springs and ended up with about 7-8” lift over the 2wd ride height. And this is how close the factory engine crossmember was to the axle. So I ended up cutting it back up and boxing it in
