You can delegate authority, but not responsibility.
Doesn't matter if someone else in the shop did the job, it's the owner's responsibility to make sure the job was done right.
How some shops stay in biz. is beyond me.
If out of 100 jobs, & 99 are perfect, is not the point. That one poorly executed job will automatically delete the other 99.
You're only as good as your last job.
How would you feel about an A.M.E. (Aircraft Mechanical Engineer) saying, "Hey, it's 99%. Good enough!"?
There's 2 dumbasses in that place. The bozo that did the job, & the owner for letting it go out the door without inspecting it.
This is why I don't have employees.

I agree, but this is the way the truck was when i bought it this past summer. I don't have loads of money to slap a regular lift in it.

I actually took it to another shop to get it fixed. They couldn't believe the job the other shop did.
