would you replace water pump when doing timing chain?

my truck has got 170k should i just go ahead and change out water pump while i am at it?
what would y'all do?

If it has never been changed, then I would put a new one (not a reman) on since it has to come off anyway....

Cheap part, overlapping labor time, easy choice... replace it!

ALWAYS! its alot more labor to change it out later. so its well worth just buying a new pump AND SOME SPRAY PAINT! DONT CHEAP OUT AND DONT PAINT IT! i see that done far to often and they rust out real fast!

Yes definitely change it and definitely paint it! Its on borrowed time till it starts leaking anyways....that reminds me, I desperately need to change mine :nono:
