See, that's what I don't get.

You have dual exhaust or you don't.

Always seemed kind of simple to me.

To me true dual means two separate pipes without any type of cross over between the two banks. This is just my opinion though....

Well that's technically right. If the 2 pipes come together at any point they are no longer true duals.
