I can see where you are coming from, I wouldnt be mentioning the specs i listed off without taking the time to confirm RPO codes on this truck. Checking these codes was one of the first things i did when i first bought it. Here are the Codes that come up. Note the F44 Code and MT1 Code

Did you swap in the 80e?

1/2t equiped 6.5TD's had a 700R4/60e factory.

they had the 80 behind the s code 6.5, only the n/a 6.5 had a 60 and only 92-94

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but if it's a 1500, it's a 1500 frame.

1500 4x4 suburban with the 6.5 got the 8 lug 3/4 ton frame with 9.25 ifs

if you have 8 lug then yes, 6 lug no

I apologize, I seem to have been speaking out of my a$$. I wasn't aware of the 6.5TD getting an 80e even in 1500 trim.
