See for muddin idk... I never have had time to really do it. I've worked asphalt construction since I've had a license so being laid off all winter I got addicted to snow wheeling. So the fans work better to keep the truck hotter but ya I could see where I'd be wrong when it comes to mud...

The only problem I ever had with mud and efans was getting mud on them while they were NOT running. It settles into the bottom 2-3 blades and cooks there, then the fan is off balance. When you turn the fan on it shakes like a sumbish until it flings itself clean. Most mounting kits are zipties and plastic/foam spacers, not all that secure when one side of the fan weighs a pound more than the other.

Just remember to turn them on before the mud gets on it and you wont have issues.

yeah lol
the point is that, the electric fans are more fragile... the way I mounted mine was:
took the 2 piece shroud out.
used 2 pieces of 2" wood pole and secured the sections together in the middle of the round opening
I then drilled 4 small holes in the poles and bolted the fan to them so it would sit in the exact same spot as the stock mechanical fan. this would allow it to use the stock shroud to draw air from the WHOLE radiator.

first one worked great! until the motor seized... the second one... 3,500 CFM wasn't enough...

well ****, I guess ill post the rest Ive done in the last few weeks..

I went ahead and tinted the tail lights. I just thought that all the LED tail lights/aftermarket ones were all kinda cheesy. Never found ones I really liked.
