I averaged 4.7mpg last time I actually did the math. 38 miles from the time I filled it up to the time I topped it off. that was work and back all week and a trip to the scrap yard with a 14' dump trailer. every day it gets drove it gets a good 20 min to warm up and work is 3/4 of a mile away from my house. I don't do the math anymore lol. that was like a week or two ago.

on the 95 ecsb 2wd 350 tbi, right now Im averaging about 16-17 on a tank... most of my driving though is back and forth to the base.. Havent done a long interstate drive yet to empty a tank to see what my average is there. knowing my luck the truck will get about 5mpg on the interstate hahaha

My 1999 ccsb with 5.7 engine ,4l80e trans ,3.73 gears and approx 31-1/2 tall tires probably gets right around 11-12 mpg on average. The trip meter usually shows between 240 to 260 miles when I need to fill up/gas gauge reading slightly below empty, from there the gas tank will normally take a little under 22 gallons to fill.

I have owned the truck since new and had installed after market cooling fans after about 10 years of ownership ,seems like that upgrade may have yielded me about one extra MPG over the stock configuration(probably 10-11 MPG).

Welcome aboard and Best of luck.

I have basically the same truck and get pretty much the same thing mpg wise. 1999 K2500 CCSB, 5.7, 4l80e, 3.73s, 275/70/17 Tires, with a 2" body lift. My numbers stay pretty much right at 10-11 range driving back and forth to work. I can get nearly 13 if it is all highway running around 75-77 mph. Same per tank as well.

When I bought the truck and it was stock height with 265/75/16 tires, and if I was very nice to the throttle I could get around 14 average.

6 MPG. I'm running a 1999 GMC 3500 cclb with a 7.4, nv4500, and 4.10 rear end single axle. Oh, and, I don't have 3rd gear.

My 1998 k1500 Regular Cab Step Side Z71 (5.7 Vortec, 4L60E, 3.42 gears, and it is cranked up in the front with 285/75/16) gets 10 to 11 MPG city (unless I have my snow plow on then it gets 7 MPG in the city) and 13 MPG on the highway.
