Those mounts are beefy enough to tear through the frame. Hell so are the stock hooks. My dually has a small tear way up front so reinforcing that area is one of the jillion projects I'll never get to. Something to keep in mind if you get that pig stuck.

Definitely on my mind, I noticed there is a third hole behind the other two that I'm going to try to tie into.

Here's the brackets I made. I used 2x2 heavy wall square tubing, just like what is made into the Reese hitch receivers. Then I used some 1 inch thick bar stock to weld inside the square tube.

I removed my front skid plate and polished it. I took this skid plate off my 92 Z71 and then used it to replace the plastic one from this truck.

Ditto to what Z71Hobbs said. Would these work on a vehicle without a body lift?

I do not think they would fit. The frame is exposed on mine so that's how I was able to do it.
