This probably isn't the right thread but here goes. I am planning to swap in a vortec engine and 98 interior into my 92 chevy ecsb. I am keeping my old steering column and making a filler for it so I don't want the security crap with it. How can I do this so that it will start and run without it? I'm looking for a permanent fix not a resister if at all possible. I'm planning on swapping in the newer style hvac so I think I will need the bcm for it to work but I could be wrong

Custom tune to delete Passlock functionality from that 1998 PCM.

Might as well have them do performance work on it since you're already paying for a tune.
