Transmission code M50

How's it going I have a quick question I'm trying to change the fluid on the transmission gearbox rear ended.
I have a 98 k1500 z-71
Rear end 3.42
Transmission is m50 but I need to know what type that transmission is? (Don't know to much about transmission)
And also any recommendations on what type of fluid to use

RPO M50 is a light duty 5 speed (NV3500.) It takes Syncromesh fluid.
