So whats the difference between the NP241 and NP241-C?
Not sure if I missed it but my tcase tag says only NP241.. picked up one from a '91 and it says np241-c? Both look identical except the shifter linkage. the 241-c isnt adjustable

What would it take to swap from my 243 to a 241?

you need a 241 with the right input, 4l60e/700r4 uses 27 spline and the 4l80e/th400/manual trans uses 32 spline, you need a floor shifter and the link rod.

most 241 had a 4 bolt flange front output so if your front shaft is a standard ujoint style then you will either need to change shafts or swap front yokes with the 243 as i am 90% sure they directly swap

What do you think would cause me to have no 4hi but 4lo works like a dream? When I push the button to engage into 4hi nothing flashes or anything but with 4lo it flashes and engages. Also my 2 hi light never stays on all three lights are always off and I have changed the switch already as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I have no idea what it could be

SAME EXACT PROBLEM MY 243 HAS!do you ever have 4hi and 4 low light stay solid or flash together? my 2hi light won't light at all

Two hi light comes on once in a while but four hi and four lo are on but only lo works!

What should I look for while picking up a T case frim a junk yard? Im replacing it with a different 241 becauae mine is making some wierd noises. Thanks in advance.

I am looking at doing a sas on my 88 c1500 all im planning on is running 35s with 410s. Im thinking of a budget build and use some ten bolts out of a 80 k10. What tcase would I use and would I have to change trannys. Currently has the oe auto. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can use a np205 or 208, you will need to buy an adapter for your tranny to bolt up to the new t case. The adapters are made by Adnance Adapters. I hope this helps. Ps your beat bet would be to buy a doner truck to get alot of parts from.
