This comes right out of the GM Manual, "fill transfer case up to fill plug with Auto-Trac(R) II Fluid (GM P/M 12378508). Install fill plug and tighten to 15 ft. lbs. (20 N.m)."

And is not correct. That is for an Autotrac transfer case. Regular push button takes Dextron III ATF.

For an AutoTrac this is correct. His isn't an AutoTrac

3 quarts I think is what I used. make sure you can get the fill plug out first. they are 30mm or something I know its metric. just fill her up till it starts coming out of the fill hole.
