I've got a k1500 CCSB with a 5.7L 350, 4L60E, 10 bolt SF rear end and I'm not sure what gears are in the back. I want to know what I can do to make my truck more efficient at pulling trailers around our farm without getting a bigger truck.

Figuring out what gears you have would be a good start. Is the sticker in the glovebox with all the RPO codes intact?

Assuming it's in good shape mechanically, the simplest thing's are cooler's, followed by stock height tires, shift kit, lower gears.

Look for the 3 digit code that starts with G and tell us what it says. My guess is GU6 or GT4

If you're swapping gear's, and hauling trailers, I'd put in 4.56's. And swap in a 14b out back.

If gear swapping is out of the question, I would step back down in tire size.

Different gears will help you out, the 3.42s are pretty useless. Keep in mind that you'll have to re-gear both the front and rear differentials to match, and I would absolutely put a better carrier in the rear end at the very least. 14 bolt swap would be a great idea. Definitely not going to be cheap to do it right...
