Guys, I am new to the forum and have just purchased a 92 RCSB Chevy Sport truck. Right now I am leaning towards a 4/6 drop and adding wheels and tires. I don't want it laying on the ground, but I definitely like the lowered look. I would like to put as wide a wheel on the back of the truck as possible. Looking for information on sizes and offsets if anyone has experience with this. I was thinking 18's on the front and 20's on the back but will listen to other ideas. I didn't see anything in the forum about wheel and tire combos, so I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I look forward to the help!

With any real amount of drop - like a 4/6 or 5/7 -

Rear - 10" wheel with 6" backspace.

Front - 8'~8.5" wheel with 5"~5.5" backspace.

18 front/20 rear is your call; I personally don't care for the trend. When you have that much of a difference in diameter you have to make up for it with tire sidewall height unless you want a raked stance, very 1970's IMO. Or, to be level, your front 18 has a much taller sidewall to match the overall height of the 20 out back, so the front shows more rubber than the rear, which looks stupid to me. Again, your call. People see things differently...I'd run 20's all the way around.

Thanks Richard. I took your advice. I ordered 20X10's for the rear and 20X8.5's for the front. Tires are 275/35/20 and 255/35/20.

I like the 18/20 stagger look. Heres my ride with 245/45r18 in the front and 315/35R20 in the back. This has 2" drop springs in the front and lowering shackles with removed over load spring in the rear.

JWall, great looking truck!

I've bent enough wheels that I wanted a little more tire. This is:

Front - 255/45/20 on 20x8.5 with 5.25" backspacing
Rear - 295/40/20 on 20x10 with 6" backspacing

Thanks!
It's a 5/7 drop with a 1/4 coil cut off front springs
Front is 20x8.5 w/ 5.25 bs & 255/35/20
Rear is 20x10 w/ 5.5 bs & 275/35/20

I'd like to have gone a little bigger, just don't have the room up front.
It already likes to get into the inners at times.

I got a 2/4 drop on mine. Drop spindles in front, shackles & hangers in back on Camaro SS stocks. 20x8.5 front, 20x9.5, I believe. 1.5" adapters all around. I personally do not like the 18" in front 20" in back look cause you have to drop the front enough to fill in the gap.
